Q1/Q2 2024 Release Notes: Join non-started depositions, see annotations changed in realtime, and reset your own password

Feature: New "Waiting Area" when Joining Depositions

Joining a deposition used to require the taking attorney to have started it before the PIN would work. This change allows participants to enter a "waiting area" for a non-started or suspended deposition. Once the deposition starts, the taking attorney can then assign a role and admit the participants.

Feature: Real-time Updates to Annotations

Collaborating with other attorneys at your firm is easier now, with changes to annotations being updated in real-time when two or more users are making changes to the same document. While this works any time you're viewing the same document, it should prove especially useful during a deposition when referring to the same exhibit and one user is adding comments or highlights while another is questioning the deponent.

Feature: Reset Your Password (without recovery questions)

We have made some improvements to the user authentication process, and with that change we now allow a user to reset their own password, provided the user has access to their email.

To keep your account secure, we still recommend answering the three password recovery questions, which will still be required to reset your password if you have answered them. However, if you choose to not answer them or have not yet answered them, you can reset your password as long as your have access to your email. Note: This also means anyone with access to your email can gain access to your AgileLaw account (but not if you answer the password recovery questions)!
