Feature: Split screen

Split screen / side-by-side viewer is one of our most requested features and is now available through AgileLaw Labs.

Once enabled, you can split your document viewer to view the same or different documents side-by-side. Each side can be viewed and annotated simultaneously for quicker document review.

During a deposition, you can split your screen and the present either the left or the right side to the witness (while in Presentation Mode). In a future release, we will add the ability to present both documents side-by-side to the witness.

Feature: Multimedia playback

Audio and video files can now be played within the viewer. The PDF placeholder is still created to give you a place to add the exhibit stamp.

During a deposition, playback by the witness and/or presenter will synchronize to other participants' viewer when their shared viewer is active.

Bugs: fixes and improvements

  • Sort by numerical when preceding alpha is identical. Document name and exhibit number will sort numbers correctly if they are the middle of the text. For example, "Document 2" will sort before "Document 10", exhibit number "PX2" will sort before "PX10", etc.

  • Changes to the "move to" dialog. When moving documents within a deposition's My Stack order using the "move to" dialog, the text cursor starts in the input field (for quickly typing a new number) and the "enter" key will save the change.

  • Allow deleting clawback documents. A revealed document that was clawed back can now be deleted as long as it was not revealed in another deposition.

  • Improved performance for certain requests. Some pages were slow to load if there were hundreds of cases and/or documents in a case. These instances should be noticeably faster now.

  • Document list header in document viewer is blank. The "X of X documents" in the document viewer list header was getting removed when selecting a document. This is fixed.

  • Improved shared viewer resizing. The shared viewer can now be resized to any dimension (it is not constrained by the presenter's view port). It will not be auto-resized; instead, a top/side letter box will show to display the document in the same dimensions as the presenter/witness.

  • Participant list on conclude is broken if there are pending participants. If the Host does not admit the 1st participant in a deposition, the 2nd won't show in the conclude list; it shows "()" for the participants. This is fixed.
